I bought a juicer so I could get some nutrients into these kids. Starting 2012 right! Here's Miles unknowingly sipping on CARROTS! Mwah ha ha ha ha, kids, I WIN!

Oliver and the sidewalk tangled at school the other day. You should see the sidewalk!

We're in a hat phase here, in case you can't tell.

Either a bird's nest or a blob of twigs outside our bedroom window. In any case, somewhat picturesque.

Ahh, Ollie. My accident-prone little man got a cut on his head in his hair, so his teacher gave him this cool "head wrap". He's very proud of it. Looks like he just came back from a war.

Several years ago, George's parents got him this voice-activated R2D2. Since my brother sent the boys some Star Wars toys for Christmas, they were starting to show a little interest, so George pulled out ol' R2 and the boys were delighted. He's just taking a little rest here. 4 year old boys wear him out.

People who know me well will be surprised to find out I made this tonight for dinner. A pan of homemade (and obviously streamlined) bolognese sauce. They'll be even more surprised to hear that I loved it! And even more surprised that the boys tried it! Woo hoo!

Being born is really hard work. Just ask Miss Fran, who was born this morning. Yes, that's right, she is exactly 37 27 years younger than me! Very exciting. Sweet baby girl has the squishiest cheeks, just like her big sister did when she was born. Can't wait til Saturday when I'll be taking pictures of her! (Amusingly, here is an earlier picture she's in.)

My poor children and their homemade Saints shirts. I'm just too cheap to buy three $30 jerseys that they'll outgrow in a year. So $5 homemade t-shirts it is! Or I could have put them in these shirts but I think they might be a tad small by now. (Now, if the Saints go to the Superbowl, I might rethink that decision, but for now...)

Oh, did you think I was done posting pictures of sweet baby girls? No indeed. I was also lucky to meet my college roommate's daughter Grace this weekend. Oh, the stories I'll be able to tell this baby in about 18 years! Hee hee!

I went to visit Ann Frances (she was Baby Fran the other day. Mom and Dad haven't decided what to call her yet) before going to dinner with my triplet moms. I had her model the sweet little headband I bought off Etsy the moment I found out she was a girl. Can't wait for our photo session on Saturday!

Another shot of the sweet Ann Frances! I spent many hours with this baby and once we got her sleeping, she was quite the model. Yet this one of her munching on Daddy's nose has to be among my favorites. I am dying!

Yet another "basking in the glow of the iPad" photo, but what can I say? Our house is dark at night and the iPad makes for nice photos. Heh.

Only one of them actually needs a bandaid. Ah well, I figure, at least it'll give their teachers another way to tell them apart (they're all different.)

Gosh, Linus looks so much like Oliver here, don't you think?

The boys have these little bears that they love. This, bee tee dubs, is Mama Brownie. Linus had Baby Bluey and Miles has Daddy Bluey. In case you were wondering.

Clearly, I have a thing for yawning babies. I can't help it, they're so cute!

    01/20/12

Soooo, I gave them different hair cuts. It's not easy to see here (which I suppose kind of defeats the purpose) but in person it's a bit more noticeable. From left to right, we have more to less hair. Miles only got a bit of a trim around the ears and neck; Linus got a longer cut all over; and Oliver got shorn. Hopefully it will help with the questions, at least in person. We'll see...

This sweet monkey doing Blue Steel is the sixth baby I've photographed in the last eight days. Whew! He was born on the boys' birthday, so he's about seven weeks old now, and makes the cutest faces. (And yes, he yawns cute too.)

Today was the boys' four year well visit, which included one of their first experiences with a blood pressure cuff. (I think maybe they've had it done at the ER, but I can't remember.) Miles and Oliver (shown here) did great, barely flinching, but Linus freaked out so badly we had to skip his reading. Ah well, presumably it's close to his brothers'.

And this is why we are probably separating the boys into different classes next year. (And look at that poor kid by the tree who just wants to play with them. Funny thing about that is, he's a twin. Ha!)

A breathing treatment picture to document what hopefully will be one the last ones we have to for a while! We get to stop the daily inhaled steroids in a month or so, after over two years. Every night, all three boys get a breathing treatment. What will we do with all that time?!?!

  • 01/26/12

    01/26/12

I had a really hard time picking today's picture, because I took some fun ones. But this one's the most fun, don't you think? Look at the air George got? And I love the boys' expressions.

The boys love trying on my shoes. I think these gold sparkly flats look particularly nice on Linus, don't you? Don't forget I'm giving away a $50 gift card from BlogHer and Olay. You have until Friday the 3rd to enter!

    01/29/12

One more vestige of their babyhood bites the dust...without any prompting from me, the boys took a shower tonight instead of a bath. Sniff sniff. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled, but not so much about leaving my babies behind...

    01/30/12

They're just so...exhausting. So funny and so smart and so cute, but so tiring. So loud. When they went to bed, I just laid on the sofa and let the silence wash over me. Until I could hear, "Mommy...Mommy...Mommy! MOMMY! I need to TELL YOU something! MOMMY!!!!! Good night."

Ah, Miles. Found my glasses and was saying "oooh, I see everything twice!" Yeah, you inherited those eyes, kid.

The boys found a teeny tiny frog this morning by the van. It was so miniscule I wasn't 100% convinced it was a frog until it hopped away!

Our neighborhood had a yard sale to benefit the family of a man who was killed a couple of weeks ago trying to stop a carjacking. This stereo was one of the items for sale. We had one just like it growing up. Blast from the past!

Took the boys to the mall after school to look for some t-shirts. Yeah, I bribed them with cookies. So sue me.

    02/07/12

Looks like a painting, doesn't it? A friend and I started our early morning walks again today and the moon was just so beautiful, but my cell phone camera just wasn't up to capturing it accurately. But artistically, sure.

As you can see, it was a gorgeous day, but it was cold. In the 30s. And before any of you Northerners inform you that "that's not cold", remember that we have thin Southern blood. It IS cold, dammit. So anyway, this was taken during the thirty minutes we lasted outside this afternoon. The rest of the day was spent inside. A sad waste of such gorgeous sunshine, but what can ya do? Oh, and this is Linus, yelling, "CATCH!" to me. I was too busy trying to take a picture while avoiding getting hit by that orange ball to make sure it was centered.

  • 02/10/12

    02/10/12

Ahhh, now THIS is what we've been waiting for. Finally, having triplets pays off! Our very own cleaning crew. Woo hoo! Can't wait til they can mow the lawn and do the laundry, too...

    02/08/12

Linus the giant! It was such a gorgeous day, I insisted we go to the park after school. So we did.

  • 02/11/12

    02/11/12

Today we went to our first Mardi Gras parade of the year. It was pretty cold, and Miles was generally miserable, but overall we had a great time. This is definitely the last time we'll be using the wagon. They're too heavy to pull very far!

  • 02/05/12

    02/05/12

The 50 month (fifty month!!) photo. I've done this FIFTY times. This was one of their less-cooperative ones, and it shows. Linus just wanted to jump, Miles wouldn't look at me, and Oliver just wanted to shove his hands down his pants. Sigh. (And yes, we were doing our Valentine's picture as well, which is going to make for some depressing cards for their classmates. Ah well.

  • 02/13/12

    02/13/12

Boy, are the other parents going to *hate* me. So, I decided to do the ubiquitous lollipop picture for the boys' valentines for their class. (The card says, "Be Our Valentine!" and those are their signatures underneath.) Note I did one picture for all three. Big mistake. Today I learned they'd be distributing their valentines to all of their friends, and with one card for all three, that'd be impossible. So I ran to the grocery at lunch and got two more cheapo, candy-based sets of Valentines so that all three will be able to give Valentines to their friends. That means every family will get five pieces of candy from us tomorrow. Ha!

As much as I enjoyed the card that George got me, nothing can beat these glitter-filled constructions the boys came home from school with. Ack, my heart! (And I just love being "Maman"!)

My view at work on Friday. We had an all-day seminar.

Their first Fun Dips! (And can you believe I had to tell George how they worked?!? Where did he grow up?!? The moon?? Surely they have Fun Dip on the moon!)

    02/16/12

The boys got these pirate masks from one of George's coworkers. Arrrgh!

  • 02/20/12

    02/20/12

Using my mom's iPhone (and Instagram app) kinda makes me want to get an iPhone. Don't tell George.
